System Overview

A typical Kerloud VTOL set consists of several components as depicted in above figures:

  • Kerloud VTOL autopilot: the core unit for flight stabilization, and it is configured with proper parameters in factory.

  • Power Module: power source for various peripherals and payloads.

  • Multicopter motors: motors for multicopter flight mode.

  • Fixed-wing motor: the propulsion motor for fixed-wing flight mode.

  • Datalink: datalink module to communicate with the ground control station.

  • Airspeed sensor: sensor to provide airspeed measurement for fixed-wing mode.

  • Aileron, elevator and rudder servos: servos for various control surfaces in fixed-wing mode.

  • GPS module: the Kerloud GPS module can provide GPS localization in outdoor flight.
